Cross and Clouds

Words kill, words give life; they're either poison or fruit - you choose.

YOURS NOW FOR YOUR JOURNEY

I want to share one of the most transformative practices that has had a profound impact on my personal growth and overall well being - especially as a caregiver: Affirmations.

Affirmations are powerful statements that help challenge and override self-sabotaging thoughts, replacing them with truth & encouragement. When repeated with belief and conviction, they rewire your mind, renew your spirit & empower you to make the positive changes you long for.

This isn’t the space to dive into the history of affirmations or the countless studies proving their effectiveness. Nor do I need to remind you that nearly every pioneer in personal growth - Napoleon Hill, Tony Robbins & many others - advocates their use. And you don’t even have to figure out how to craft them yourself - I’ve already done that for you!

For me, Scripture became my affirmations. I sought out verses that spoke directly to my struggles as a caregiver - what I was facing, what I desperately needed, and what I longed for to keep going. Then, I made them deeply personal. Using a thesaurus, I adjusted a few words to make them resonate even more.

I memorized these Scriptures, one by one, and began speaking them throughout my day -sometimes silently, other times out loud, but always with emotion and belief. And they worked. They helped me break free from exhaustion, overwhelm & sadness. Even more, they strengthened my relationship with God and deepened my faith in Jesus.

These are the 25 Scriptures that have transformed me. I invite you to make them yours, or find your own. Speak them. Believe them. Let them renew you from the inside out.

They hold power. And if you commit to this practice, I promise - they will transform you, too.
